Dear Parents a warm welcome to you all, welcome to Oriental Public School, where students, staff and parents work together to achieve our two goals -a safe, caring environment and academic success for every child. Today in this competitive world we all want our children to have an all-round development and become Master of All Trades. To acquire this, we try and give our child best possible education, but is it the right education?
When the child starts his schooling in Nursery we expect the child to read and write the alphabet as early as possible, is it justifiable to expect this from the child? While you know for a fact the child is not even able to hold a pencil properly or turn the page of a book we force the child to write by holding his hand or holding the book whose weight also he may not be able to carry. We also pressurize the child to complete the homework given by the teachers. When he is not able to do so the parents just fill up the worksheets to complete the task, have we ever thought about what message the child is deriving out of this action?
We appeal to the parents never to compare your child with other children, on the contrary to try and appreciate his unique capabilities and qualities.
